These Academies and their branches are not affiliated to any other groups or persons using the name of Melchizedek or Qabbalah.
At the request of the Spiritual Hierarchy, Sylvia Shanti Vowless accepted the assignment in 1997 to establish an Academy of Light as part of the prophesied worldwide network. Although it is based in the Lemurian energies of the Southern Hemisphere its specialized work extends around the planet, under the direction and overlighting energies of the Order of Melchizedek. Its name given by the Spiritual Hierarchy, the Melchizedek Academy of Soul Education International (MAI) as well as the recent addition of the Qabbalah Foundation of New Zealand (QBLF) now humanity is ready to accept this latter name free of historical connotation, clearly states its purpose and is a reflection of what the Lord of Light Melchizedek, Educator of the Soul, and the Order represent.
The Order of Melchizedek is the Order of Light, Knowledge and soul-based Teaching Intelligence governing and guiding the spiritual evolution of humanity. As such, it has seeded all the world’s great spiritual traditions through many High Priests of the Order such as Jesus who was himself a Qabbalist, who have come to earth throughout history to help humanity’s spiritual progress.
This MAI-QBLF Mystery School is an international planetary teaching extension and voice of the Order connecting with all similar schools of Light unfolding the Divine Plan in the various dimensions of our Universe. Its primary function therefore is to make more widely available on this planet the Order’s guiding Melchizedek radiation or vibration which accelerates our soul evolution, and the Melchizedek Consciousness Law of our Oneness with God and all Creation. This is facilitated through the fundamentals of Science of the Soul and DNA, and Higher Melchizedek Consciousness of the universal Qabbalistic teachings that embody the Cosmic Truth Principles and Laws which are at the foundation of all spiritual paths and the Mystery Schools of all cultures.
Thus it is not aligned with any one path or -ism.
Instead, it seeks to reveal the oneness and unity within all the diverse interpretations and beliefs and within all people. (To know more about Melchizedek, Qabbalah, Mystery Schools etc please see the ‘Discourses section)
Such Soul Science of integrated right and left brain training together with practical application is essential for the 3rd Millennium. It is an outpicturing of the incoming 7th RAY influence whose key words are Freedom and Transmutation, and whose qualities are: * bringing the awareness of Spirit into matter * heart or Christ Conscious integration of our three bodies, three minds and soul with Spirit through closer connection with our I AM Presence, and * synthesis of the proven, ageless Wisdom teachings of the Mystery Schools e.g. Qabbalistic, Essene, Egyptian, Eastern, Rosicrucian with genuine incoming revelations of the ‘Now’ Age.
In particular, the MAI-QBLF Mystery School seeks to empower individuals and to re-awaken their active connection and experience of their inner God I AM or God Self presence, the Divine within every person, thus becoming self-responsible through this Higher Self guidance. Although terms such as I AM from the western spiritual traditions are used, Melchizedek represents the Law of One/Oneness or Unity Consciousness and thus we honour all spiritual disciplines, teachers and terms. Christ Consciousness for example can be equally well expressed as Buddha, Krishna or God Consciousness, or whatever term feels right for you - the choice is yours.
But as all Adepts, Ascended Masters, Sages, and illumined teachers have always emphasised, there are three unchanging directives to help us avoid wasting our precious life and time, even another whole lifetime…..
1. There is no short-cut to spiritual growth, no instant enlightenment possible, no ‘fast food’ for rapid spirituality! Wisdom cannot be taught, only knowledge which then has to be applied, practised and experienced until you prove it for yourself as being valid, valuable and true. Ancient Wisdom teachings are time-proven and unfailing as they are based on Truth Principles and Laws as opposed to popular new age spirituality based on other people's beliefs, interpretations or channellings which may or may not be coming from a reliable Higher source.
2. No-one else can do it for you. Absolutely nothing outside of yourself can do it for for you – and that includes such popular new age claims, fads or purported techniques such as DNA recoding and activation, Light Body or Kundalini activation, communication with discarnate Higher Beings, speaking/channelling the Language of Light etc. etc. Spiritual progress and soul advancement or soul ascension can only occur as a natural result of your inner work and Higher Self/I AM empowerment. The results you then begin to outpicture in your thoughts, feelings and actions, and manifest in your physical body and circumstances.
3. Spiritual and soul evolution only comes from a conscious choice that is acted upon. Certainly, all souls will eventually return ‘home!’ But that will happen only when they have woken up just like you who are reading this – and then take conscious action.

The foundation Soul Ascension Matrix and Melchizedek-Qabbalah Mystery School Levels 1 and 2 are certificated intensives intensives of the Order of Melchizedek Tree of Life Consciousness teachings upon which, by Divine Directive this Academy is based. They have been communicated in an extraordinarily practical and unique format directly to its Founder/Director Sylvia Shanti Vowless. After proving the revelatory techniques and highly effective, life-changing processes for herself, asking for and then receiving confirmation from reliable ancient and modern esoteric sources, it is her passion to be able to offer them as the two “foundation” Pillars of Wisdom intensives.
They act as ‘portals’ to Higher Consciousness which support and enhance the participant’s spiritual progress, self-mastery, fulfillment, and deep joy of living. These two levels represent the two Pillars of Wisdom before the door of Solomon’s Temple, a Temple of Initiation of the Melchizedek Order and Priesthood, or the two Pillars of the Tree of Life in the Qabbalist tradition. This powerful symbology of two Pillars is still found today in the Major Arcanum of the Tarot, in the Masonic and other sacred traditions.
The Level One ‘Pillar of Wisdom’ which has been shared since 1995, is known as the PATH OF THE SOUL LIBERATION. Through this empowering and unparalleled 3-day plus one evening soulshop intensive, Sylvia has been entrusted to offer participants authentic INITIATION INTO THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK.
For Level 1 Graduates, the second ‘Pillar’ is the Level 2 two-day Convocation intensive which culminates in the incredibly awe-inspiring and unforgettable inner and outer SOUL INTEGRATION & ORDINATION OF INITIATES INTO THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE PLANETARY PRIESTHOOD OF MELCHIZEDEK (Priest meaning Elder) which is described in more detail in the ‘Pillars of Wisdom’ section. This moving Ceremony always takes place in the presence of existing Priests who welcome the Initiates into the Fellowship, and this is followed by a 2-day retreat known as the MELCHIZEDEK CONCLAVE which is held in March each year.
Through Reverend Sylvia Shanti’s special “Calling” she is the only person authorized to offer this Initiation and Ordination of Initiates into the planetary Priesthood of Melchizedek Convocation, and the only annual Melchizedek Conclave in the southern part of the world. Since 1997 all these events are also being offered more widely in other areas such as Europe, Scandinavia, North and South America, or by request wherever there is enough deep interest and readiness for this life-transforming work. Since 1993 the Academy has also sponsored and hosted the only annual spiritually-based gathering ‘down under,’ usually held around November, known originally as the International Gathering of Masters, but more recently the INTERNATIONAL GATHERING FOR ENLIGHTENMENT. Leading-edge presenters, authors, master teachers and musicians from around the world are invited to share their expertise and knowledge - and all enjoy the beauty and energies of the sacred ‘power area’ of Lake Taupo in New Zealand’s North Island!
In 1998 Sylvia Shanti Vowless was given another assignment, this time to set up a branch of the MAI known as the International Academy of Melchizedek Soul Education, or I AM. Its purpose is to offer the in-depth, three-part Soul Journey towards Enlightenment Curriculum designed by St Germain which in total covers approximately 90% of the Level 1 Path of the Soul content but is spread over a longer period of time and offered in local communities, making it more accessible to a greater number of people. The last % is covered by Sylvia Shanti in a Graduation and Initiation Day at the conclusion of Part 3.
This Curriculum is taught by the MAI’s professionally trained and dedicated teachers in their local areas, currently throughout Australia and New Zealand. With over fifty years teaching experience having originally been trained as a school and dance teacher, Sylvia Shanti trains these teachers herself in an in-depth certificated Diploma Course. To qualify as a Registered Teacher of the Order of Melchizedek, trainees first have to fulfil the requirements of being an Initiate and Priest dedicated to their own spiritual development and selfless service. This is essential for today’s spiritual teachers who are the wayshowers and must ‘teach by example.’ To maintain the high standard and integrity associated with the MAI, teachers have to be re-registered annually, so only those displaying a Registration Diploma for the current year are qualified teachers of the Melchizedek Academy.
The MAI’s publications and audio tapes also carry the radiation of Melchizedek as a vibratory release experienced within one’s heart and soul.

In 1998 through telethought communication, Sylvia Shanti received this beautiful symbol to use as the Logo for her own Science of the Soul teaching work, and for the MAI. It is the symbol of our eventual evolution into Enlightened Ascended Masters of Light.
The Ankh is the symbol of the Key of Eternal Life, or the Cross of Life, and transcends the cross of physical limitation, suffering and death. Its upper part represents the ‘doming’ of our Overself Body of Light with our soul and physical body, leading to the unification or fusion of the two. This is activated by Christ Conscious or unconditional Love, depicted as rays of Love/Light radiating from the heart.
The six-pointed star is the Star Seal of Melchizedek and the Seal of Solomon. It represents the fusion of our Overself Body of Light or I AM Presence, with our soul and lower or I am personality self.

Sylvia’s spiritual awakening began at the age of ten, and was followed by years of intense experiences, relentless searching, and both inner and outer training. Her many multi-dimensional experiences and initiations have resulted in a deep love and commitment to serve the unfolding of the Divine Plan for humanity and Mother Earth. Skills developed through her earlier eight careers in Teaching both school and ballet, Manager of a large Jewellery Company, Public Relations in Qantas Airways, Dance Theatre Directing having founded the Korobushka International Dance Theatre which performed around New Zealand for more than fifteen years with great success, Public Speaking, Personal Growth Training, writing and as a Consultant, are now used in the effective fulfilment of her Life and Soul Purpose, her true service as a Spiritual Educator.
For the past twenty-five years she has totally devoted her life to God and to serving others as a master teacher of the Melchizedek Consciousness and Order of Melchizedek, a mystic, author and an acclaimed international conference presenter. Invitations to lecture as a Guest Presenter at major Esoteric and Metaphysical Conferences and Gatherings worldwide have so far included being chosen in 2005 as Spiritual Ambassador for the Southern Hemisphere and being flown Business Class to the huge “Call to World Peace” Symposium in Istanbul Turkey, the International Metaphysical Conference in Brazil, the Wesak Festival in Germany, Festival of Light in Vienna, the Mind-Body-Spirit Festival in London, the Esoteric Link-Up in Israel, the Silver Dove Conference in Thailand, Channelling Conference in Peru, the Millennium Gathering in the United States, the Aotearoa Festival of Light, the Lightworkers Festival and Wesak in Australia. A highly trained and respected international spiritual educator, worldwide lecturer, Spiritual Ambassador for the Southern Hemisphere, author, Qabbalist, Esoteric Numerologist and mystic, she works with the Cosmic Truth Principles from the Godhead and their Higher Universal Laws of Life that form the matrix or foundation of all spiritual paths. This unifying Ancient Wisdom originates from the Higher Consciousness of the Order of Melchizedek of which Jesus was a High Priest. Originally trained on the inner planes by the Spiritual Hierarchy, Sylvia’s first outer service during the 1980’s and early ‘90’s was as a conscious channel for the Ascended Masters, in particular Master Rakoczi or St Germain with whom she has a personal connection and lineage. Since her Ordination fifteen years ago into the Order of Melchizedek Priesthood she has progressed to receiving direct revelation through the process of “telethought communication”, ie. the mind-link process of human mind with Divine Mind through the wordless Language of Light.
