MIRACLE-MAKING
Activating your latent God-Power

One Friday last June I was travelling from Copenhagen to Arles in France for a weekend seminar scheduled to start at ten the next morning. The flight was due to leave at 7.30 am and would get me to Montpellier mid-morning, the nearest international airport, where after a few hours wait I’d be able to catch the only one-stop train link at 2pm. It would be an easy day's travel, getting me to the small town of Arles in the afternoon so I could settle in ready for the weekend.
After checking in I noticed the departure time had changed to 8am – no problem – but then again to 11am. This was cutting my train link a bit fine but was still possible. But when I next checked the board expecting to see the 'Boarding now' sign, to my dismay it had been changed yet again – to 7.30PM! Apparently the aircraft was unfit to fly and the airline representatives could offer no solution when I asked them how I could get to Arles that day as no trains ran at night, except to check with another airline to see if I could at least get to Paris that morning. All flights were full, so there was no option but to wait. Having got up at 4am for a 6am check-in at Copenhagen, it promised to be a long day!
What to do? After a brief time of feeling exasperated and concerned I soon realised that this was another challenge I'd created to test myself on what I've been working on and teaching for so many years! So I found a quiet place to sit where pretending to read, I could meditate and work on creating the space and conditions for a miracle to occur.
Firstly 1 I clearly defined my requirement, that I would be able to start the seminar perfectly in Arles at ten the next morning.
2 I had absolutely no idea how this could happen so I handed it over to my Higher God-Self and its Divine Presence the Holy Spirit within. I also used the helpful affirmation for seemingly impossible situations “God makes a way where there seems no way”.
3 I always carry little cards with some of the most useful Divine Names in the Language of Light, so I scanned and quietly chanted the one representing the attribute of allowing miracles to manifest – ‘Sit’ (pronounced ‘seet’) – and enlisted the support of its Archangel Sitael as I visualized my desired outcome.
[The how and why of using such Divine Names is explained in the Discourse entitled “Qabbalah Unveiled.” ]
4 With a relaxed attitude of certainty, trust and confidence I “Let go and let God” take over – and got out of my own way to create the space for the God-Power aspect of ‘Sit’ to work! So often we sabotage our good intentions by trying too hard, by having doubts or tension which immediately short-circuits the process, or by trying to figure out HOW something can happen. Another Divine Name ‘formula’ that's most useful for helping maintain the God-Power of absolute certainty and trust activated, is ‘Eri’ and its supporting Archangel is Ariel. So whenever I thought about the situation I immediately used them – a principle here is that you can only think one thought at a time so this makes sure you hold the highest one!
Arriving at the small, deserted Montpellier airport at around 10.00pm I collected my luggage and then seeing there was no sign of the expected miracle yet, decided I may as well do the 3-D thing and find the Information Desk. Surprisingly not only was someone still there but someone who was helpful and could speak good English, a small miracle in itself! Asking him if there was any way I could get to Arles that night, he suggested a taxi. I asked him to find out the estimated cost – two hundred Euros, approximately four hundred dollars – obviously out of the question. Hmmm, hurry up 11th-hour miracle!
He started telling me that there just might be a train link early the next morning - rather unlikely though because this route and destination are little used – and that I could stay overnight at a nearby hotel. Then a lady from the same flight whom I hadn't noticed but just “happened” to be further along the desk talking to another man, said something to him. She had overheard our conversation and was offering to take me as far as Nimes where she lived, about an hour's journey away. Nimes is about halfway between Montpellier and Arles so I thought, “Well, that's at least half a miracle!” so I gladly accepted.
I must admit looking at her and thinking “Angels do come in surprising disguises!” She was middle-aged, had long lank hair, tatty jeans and an old sweatshirt with a couple of food stains down the front – certainly very unlike the idealistic picture we have of angels! But an angel indeed she was, with a heart of gold.
Fortunately Isabella's English was reasonable and with my broken French we got along famously as we drove through the night. Then quite suddenly she said, “Have you any Euros on you?” Just for a split second I thought about how here I was in a stranger's car, trusting she was going where she said she was! I immediately replaced the thought with 'Eri' and Ariel's help, and said yes, I had about forty Euros on me.
“Well,” she said, “If you'd like to contribute towards the petrol then I'll drive you right through to Arles.” Even though I had been expecting a miracle, I could scarcely believe my ears as that was another good hour's drive on this rainy night!
5 With great gratitude I happily accepted and at the petrol station took out my money ready to give her most of it in gratitude for her kindness. She sorted through it, took out one note and gave the rest back saying that I’d need it for my trip. She had only kept five Euros – around ten dollars! I wanted to give her much more but she wouldn't hear of it bless her.
So we arrived in Arles around 12.30am having no idea where the hotel was. Finding a bistro bar closing she went in and asked how to find the hotel. Once there I pressed the night button and eventually the bleary-eyed manager came down and let me in. I gratefully thanked God and Isabella who drove off into the night for yet another hour's drive home. So I got to bed around 1am and was of course, at my seminar the next morning, not only on time but well rested and relaxed.
To me this was amazing – a true miracle for not in my wildest imagination could I have come up with the incredible sequence of events and unexpected, generous help from a complete stranger that fulfilled my original intent so completely, effortlessly and perfectly! Yes, miracles DO happen – and we can learn how to allow the God-Power latent within us to bring them into form.
If you’d like to try some 'Miracle-making' yourself, the steps I used are:
1. Clearly define your intent – it can be for help, an intended outcome, or manifesting something physical/material, there are no limits. I always use the word 'perfect' which ensures that the outcome is in Divine Order … for example “under Grace and in a perfect way.”
2. Hand over to the Power of God to take care of it – and don't worry about how it can happen or through whom.
3. Use the appropriate Divine Names as optical and spoken mantras while visualising your desired outcome.
4. Then relax and have absolute trust and certainty that the perfect outcome is assured.
5. Accept with joy and gratitude.
Happy Miracle-making – I'd love to hear your success stories so please send them to me!
