MAY FULL MOON FESTIVAL CELEBRATING THE CONVERGENCE OF SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS FROM

THE BUDDHA,  MAITREYA THE CHRIST, AND THE ASCENDED MASTERS

Millions of people around the world both Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike, gather together each year to meditate and create a wonderfully powerful group energy to celebrate Wesak.  This Festival falls around May's full moon when the sun is in Taurus, sign of defining of Purpose and Liberation through Divine Will, and the moon in Scorpio, sign of spiritual Transformation and Rebirth.  Many consider this to be the most sacred time of the spiritual year when the impact of Divine Energies of Light, Love and Power are at their peak and more accessible to humanity.  It's as if a door is opened much wider during this special time which makes it possible through deep group meditations to connect with energies which are otherwise not so easily available.  Greater expansions of understandings and consciousness not so achievable at other times can occur which can aid and stimulate those on the conscious spiritual path to take positive steps forward both personally and in service to humanity. 

To quote Alice Bailey:  "The need of the world is so great and the present circumstances so critical, that many spiritually minded people are thinking to ask for Divine intervention.  There are spiritual Forces and great spiritual Intelligences and Lives that are aware of what is going on upon our planet, and can be called upon for their guiding wisdom and that loving stimulation which will guide humanity from darkness into light, from separation into unity."

These Great Ones - the Beings of Light who include the Buddha and Maitreya, the Christ and Ascended Masters - never interfere with our free will and so can only respond when the call for help is requested.  But it can only happen when enough sincere people coming together with a collective intent to work for everyone’s highest good and desiring the greatest good for humanity, send out a powerful, focused call to evoke Their help.   These Forces stand ready to help but the word for action must first come from the World Teacher of Love, the Christ, Who will give that word when enough of us give it to Him.  We determine our own destiny.  Neither The Christ or any of the Masters may take any steps to help humanity unless called to this activity by humanity itself, and only together can we create a unified field of thought powerful enough to telepathically reach Them all. 

At this time of Wesak contact can be made more easily with these Great Ones, Who are to the Masters what the Masters are to humanity.  Their response is sent out as spiritual energy first to those who are awakened, and through these people this energy will eventually reach the minds of humanity, carrying inspiration and revelation that will eventually lead to spiritual awareness and unfoldment.  They offer their assistance and blessings that help us evolve through living in oneness and love as Divine beings having a physical experience, the only way we can create powerful changes in the mass consciousness and conditions on earth.   But the energies that the Great Ones transmit are so powerful they can only be received through group energy created by enough people offering their loving service as Light Servers and transmitters.  

So where does the name 'Wesak' come from and why is this particular time considered so powerful?

For Buddhists Wesak celebrates the Buddha's birthday.  Legend has it that the Buddha returns once a year to the remote Wesak Valley high in the Himalayan-Tibet ranges to bless the world together with The Christ, World Teacher of Love, for the spiritual benefit of humanity.  Together they act as Custodians of the great spiritual forces of the Wisdom (Light) and Love of God which are transmitted to the Ascended Masters gathered there.  The Masters then transmit it to all Light Servers present as souls, either in physical or finer bodies, and we in turn radiate this Divine Love and Light to the world and mass consciousness, the energies needed for the evolution of the whole of humanity.   It can often help to picture this as light and illumination coming into the minds of humanity, love coming into the hearts of humanity, and the individual will of each person linking with Divine Will.

Buddha’s reason for returning for this brief time of the Wesak Festival is to remind us of our own potential for illumination, and to embody the force which can help stimulate people everywhere to come together as a group with focused intent, and thus symbolically reach “the ear and heart” of the Great Ones.

Therefore Light Servers who desire to help make a difference are invited to join together at Wesak – this year we celebrate a group Festival in New Zealand for the first time (see page  )

For those at home, a basic Wesak meditation can include:

*  Sincerely joining with souls of all Light Servers worldwide in creating a field of magnetic light and love.

*  Picturing the Wesak valley and the Beings of Light and Masters called to join the gathering, then the Buddha descending into the valley joined by the World Teacher of Love.

*  Picturing streams of spiritual Divine Light and Love Energies being received by the Masters who then transmit them to Light Servers everywhere. 

*  Receiving these blessings and energies into your heart and head centres.  Feel yourself filled and surrounded with Light and Love, illuminating your soul, mind, and personality.

*  Finish with the Great Invocation below, followed by sounding "OM" three times as you energetically join with millions worldwide in radiating the Divine energies without attachment to results, to all humanity, to the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms and Mother Earth.

Encompassed in this ceremony is the universality of God’s Love, the need for our individual purification, and the opportunity to share with each other that which belongs to all.

Together we can strengthen the power of light and work with the Masters and Great Ones to bring more love, unity, oneness, tolerance, and illumination into ourselves and into humanity.

Together we can make a valuable and important contribution to all life.

THE GREAT INVOCATION

From the point of Light within the Mind of God

Let Light stream forth into the minds of men.

Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God

Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men.

May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known

Let purpose guide the little wills of men –

The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men

Let the Plan of Love and Light work out,

And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

This Great Invocation is a world prayer, translated into fifty languages and dialects.  It is an instrument of power to help the Divine Plan find full expression on Earth, and to use it is an act of service to humanity and The Christ.  It expresses certain fundamental truths which normally most people can accept …

• That there exists a basic Intelligence which we usually call God
• That there is a Divine evolutionary Plan for the world whose motivating power is Love
• That some of the Great Ones like The Christ have come to Earth and embodied that Love so that we could understand it as an effect of the Purpose, the Will and the Plan of God.

Through invocation, prayer and meditation Divine Energies can be released and brought into activity.  Men and women of goodwill of many faiths and nations can join together in world service, demonstrating spiritual values and strength to a troubled world.  The fact that we humans have the power through focused and united intent and invocation to affect world events has been proven scientifically, and this knowledge can be a great liberating influence within humanity.

No-one can use this invocation or prayer for illumination and for love without causing powerful changes to occur in one’s own attitudes and life intention, for as the truism states:

 “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
